Building in the Multiplier
How might God's desire to multiply ministry be seen... in the latent potential of a single apple seed? When Johnny Appleseed planted his seeds what did he see? multiplying groves of apple trees…or just a single apple tree?
In a simple apple seed what do we see? an unplanted seed… or yet possibly a seed sprouting by faith and watered by deeds— flourishing into a fully mature apple tree? Might we see a multiplying reproduction of that single seed--- into one hundred fully mature, multiplying apple trees? or perhaps can our faith and vision possibly see--- one hundred orchards of fully mature, multiplying apple trees? For isn’t that potential in a single seed? Isn’t that also true for Ministry? ...what do we see? a single saved soul or evangelism massively and multiplied discipling? If we plant in the Heavenly ground of faith-filled possibility after plowing and nurturing our field wisely fertilizing with faith-filled prayer and watering with good deeds-- can we not expect to see … God’s abundant increase?
Likewise, as interest compounds exponentially… Will not God’s carefully planted incorruptible seed— nurtured through God-given talents and gifts sown… eventually reap a multiplied, rippling harvest unto eternity? Absolutely!!!! Yet if His Precious Seed is left boxed and unplanted on the shelf and our talents, abilities, and love withheld, buried in our self what kind of spiritual increase can we expect to see ... except a sad nothing! Even a cup of cold water in His Name… is promised to reap a good reward from the store houses of our Lord Let us therefore plow with heartfelt significance for now is the time to make a difference investing not just temporarily, but eternally
When Paul wrote his letters to the Corinthians… did he know that they would exponentially influence billions of women and men? Looking back might he be pleasantly surprised to see such dreams of productivity so wonderfully realized through his faith-filled words and deeds faithfully exercised For our Great God gave such abundant increase…
As countless lives have been saved and made so much better through the fruit multiplying seed planted from these God-given letters.
In Jesus our King… we certainly all have a destiny! For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good deeds Shall we not exercise, influence, and fully discharge our ministries Shall we not work side by side, weaving our nets in unity Linking together in Holy Spirit humility to sweep whole communities even whole nations with His salvation and reach out to the very least of these? All of us being called and sent-- let us not shelf our gifts or bury our talents Let us stir up one another into love and good deeds evangelizing and discipling the lost and helping those in need let us do exponentially more to truly help the poor and compassionately invest into this last days Harvest Continually linking into Holy Spirit thinking running alongside our sisters and brothers Passing the baton on to multiplied others Readily lifting Jesus up Higher and gladly building in the multiplier So that good fruit shall sprout, multiply, and richly abound from this fertile heart ground Where His Love and Word are so richly found
So then... In well doing…let us not faint For in Jesus our Lord our labors are not in vain For there is great reward In the Work of our Lord Let us therefore… be immovable, always abounding, and steadfast Knowing that when all is said, done, and past only what was done for and through Christ will last So then… let us not grow weary or tire of Building in the Multiplier for to whom much is given...much is required and who has been given more than we, in the western world, who have so much in store?
Father renew our vision for Your Great Commission Rekindle in us new and fresh Holy Spirit desire to reach the nations with Your salvation Readily set to interconnect as a working net that works together to release and not control for the sake of the salvation of many souls teach us to wisely build in the multiplier Lord, fill us with Your Oil of gladness from above that they may know we are Christians by this love as Your Love and Will become our foremost desire so Your Kingdom of Glory will spread like fire and that You our King will be glorified in everything!
