Church planting is a vital part of Baja Christian Ministries. Even though the physical needs of Mexico may seem overwhelming at times, the spiritual needs are also just as great and extend into eternity. BCM shares Christ's heart, mind, and desire stated in James 2:5 "Has not God chosen the poor in the world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the kingdom that He has promised to those who love Him." Mexico is a country that is ripe to receive the joyous news of eternal life and salvation, and hearts are open and responsive. It is our desire to establish healthy congregations and conduct outreaches and crusades in each community where homes are being built and beyond. A local church provides a community hub where on-going spiritual growth of new believers takes place. Led by Mexican pastors who know their people best, the church is also a place where fellowship and loving care can be extended. Currently, we have three new church plants underway and desire to plant 50 or more churches over the next five years. Church buildings and parsonages are underway in Cumbres and El Nino this season. Both churches are active and growing. Lake Avenue Congregational of Pasadena and Calvary Newport Mesa of Costa Mesa are actively engaged in much outreach, house building, church building, and supporting pastors through us. Many other churches and groups, who make up what we call the "vanguard", add further support for church planting and sharing the gospel. As spiritual farmers, they keep the Apostles' words in mind: "Paul planted, Apollos watered and God gave the increase." (1 Cor. 3:6). Please check this website often to get the latest updates.
