Dear Prayer Partner,
God has blessed BCM with an abundance of wonderful teams coming down to build with us this December and through year-end. Some were replacing homes for families who lost theirs to fires. Others were building homes in rainy and muddy conditions. Last weekend, God opened a way to get all four homes completed in spite of the rain! The gospel also went forth! Thanks so much for your vital and effective prayers that paved the way!
Tomorrow we have a team coming in from Loyola High School of Augora Hills, CA, led by Andrew Laubach and his dad, Chris Laubach. Chris was telling me that his son, Andrew, who is in High School at Loyola, has been passionate about this project and that he has raised most of the money and recruited friends from the High School. Thank God for young compassionate leaders! They are coming in tomorrow to build a home for a grandma and grandpa, and their three nephews who badly need this home to replace the leaky make-shift rooms they are presently staying in.
Please pray that God would mightily protect them and abundantly bless them. Pray that God will fill them with the fullness of joy in His presence, His peace that passes understanding and His love that passes knowledge!
Speaking of young people...we had an amazing team of college students from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA, primarily from the Campus Crusade for Christ, down with us last weekend. This team, led by Taylor Redmond, came with enthusiasm, encouragement, and energy to spare. They also raised all the money to build the two houses and helped with a third home that needed to be finished. At the end of the trip they went even further and blessed us with a financial gift from the extra funds they had raised, which further helps our ministry's year-end fund-raising effort. I will report more on this fun-loving team with a photo video that will be produced soon.
Due to the road conditions it was difficult to get over to another home being lovingly built by San Clemente Presbyterian's team, led by Dean Monahan. They worked through the rain and mud to build a beautiful home for a needy family pictured below with team:
LifeSprings Church also brought a team led by Daniel and Lisa Strand and Ernie Maes. They worked hard and joyfully in the rain and mud building the home, and sent another team out to share the gospel. A good size group came out in the rain to hear the good news and many were led to the Lord, prayed for and started on the Bible and Purple Book program with a group leader. See Daniel Strand's inspiring video synced to Newsboys, "Something Beautiful":
David Angulo also produced a wonderful BCM video with photos of Doug Ament and Rob Curtis's team that built the weekend before, along with LifeSprings' team and other photos and video clips. It's called "Secret Kingdom", and is synced to Newsboys song of the same name. See it here:

In closing I want to share with you another BCM video produced by Tony Jacobs. It's a cross section of photos and video clips from various BCM teams in 2009 synced to the song, "The Only One", by a Christian band named Violet Burning:
Thanks for standing with us in prayer, encouragement, giving, and hands on service on both sides of the border. May God bless you, your family, friends and loved ones with a very Merry Christmas! May God bless you abundantly!
I am grateful for God and the wonderful partners He has blessed us with!
With Gratitude,
Bob Sanders
