Baja Christian Update Report and Prayer Letter 2/5/10

Dear Prayer Partner,

God's grace has opened wide doors of opportunity and extended abundant blessing to this ministry and to the many who are carrying the Baja torch through prayer, giving and service!  Thank you for standing in the gap and running the race with us!  Exciting things are transpiring through your prayers and the grace, guidance and empowerment of our King!

Rock Harbor Church: This weekend we have another wonderful team from Rock Harbor Church of Costa Mesa led by Paul Deese, Rob Hammond and Aaron Young, building 2 houses and many lives for Jesus! Rain is threatening this weekend. Please pray that God would pave the way for their victory and completion of the homes and that He would surround them with His joy, blessing and protection.

Home for Home Team:  This team from Washington state, after finishing their last project a few weeks ago in January, are coming back to Baja again in two weeks to join us  to build 2 more homes. Then they are coming back again in April to build another two homes for two leadership families of Nueva Creacion Rehab Center,  a very godly, effective Holy Spirit environment outside TJ. This anointed ministry is rescuing once criminal and wrecked lives and is effectively transforming them into fervent soldiers of our King!

A few weeks back the Home for Home team built a home and storefront connected to this family's home to replace the home and store that was burnt down by a fire. After their last trip one of the team leaders and co-founders, Chad Youngquist,  writes,  "Bob, I had to start keeping a journal of all the financial miracles happening to us and those around us since starting our program. I can't wait to tell you about the recent ones. I'm watching people, flat broke, getting their socks blessed off them for joining our teams and committing to the Lord's work when the world says they should be out looking for a job. And to add to that, those people are getting their lives lit up for God. Incredible..."

Christmas Cheer from the Collins family:  Over the Christmas holiday Kevin and Cindy Collins and friends brought Christmas cheer and blessings to a number of poor families in upper El Nino. Check this video, "Let Your Light Shine", produced by David Angulo:

Chris Wade Foundation: Chris and his foundation have started a unique partnership with BCM. They are funding the houses and also paying the wages of local people in Tijuana to build the houses for poor families. So far two homes have been built and wages paid since the 1st of this year, with a number more planned.  Check out video by Tony Jacobs:

Building Lives for Jesus Christ: Pushing the plow of house to house spontaneous invitation, group testimonies, sharing the gospel, invitations to receive Jesus, individual and group prayer, and Bible and Purple Book ministry coupled with your prayer covering and the prayers of many others, has led thousands from the ripe Baja fields to Jesus and to the pathway of discipleship in many Baja communities. Check out this inspiring video produced by David Angulo, "Lead Me to the Cross"

Thanks again for standing with us! We believe the best is yet to come, because of HIM!

Harvesting Baja together through Him!
