Why Be A Marynated Martha?

Two sisters dearly loved Jesus our Lord
both sought Him diligently and received their reward
Mary passionately pursued adoration and devotion
learning to rest and drink in the presence of her Lord
exuberantly filling her spirit, mind, will, and emotions 
patiently waiting on Him in sweet retreat 
worshiping gladly at His feet 
connected through humble, affectionate, faith-filled devotion
tapping and drinking from Unfailing Springs
fervently pursuing that one needful thing
longing to be Spirit led, 
eating His Words as daily bread 
giving and receiving delight from the heart
no doubt Mary chose the better part
... on the other hand...
Martha was passionate to serve and eager to go
and ready to make a stand
Ardent to tell others and fervent to show
her deep love for her awesome Lord...
to the unsaved, the saved, and to the poor 
to reveal His greatness and what He died for
She knew that multitudes who were crushed, hurt, and in need
could be transformed through Spirit led love and good deeds
planting and watering through preaching and teaching 
God's Word!! His lifegiving Incorruptible Seed
Were these sisters and their passions at odds? 
As to what was important couldn't they agree? 
No!! They were both loved and born of God
What then is the ideal? What is God's will?
Like Mary... let us fervently seek His precious countenance 
Like Martha... let us serve with compassion, diligence, and excellence
As Martha did, let us diligently do and go
As Mary did, let us immerse in His holy presence
Let us be a Marynated Martha, faithful to marynate and go
empowering us to Serve Joyfully in GOD'S OVERFLOW!
