History

Founded in September of 1991, Baja Christian Ministries (BCM) is a non-denominational Christian organization dedicated to serving the spiritual and physical needs of Mexico in the name of Jesus Christ. The founder, Bob Sanders, has been working in ministry to the poor in Mexico since 1984. Through the years, BCM has worked with a large cross-section of denominations and churches including:

BCM works to unite believers to the common need of serving the poor and doing the work of evangelism. BCM also has an extensive building ministry which provides no-cost housing for the poor, church buildings, and orphanages.

God has blessed BCM. Through His guidance, the ministry was founded with few resources and has steadily grown, primarily through partnerships with faithful individuals and congregations. Since its inception, Baja Christian Ministries has been building a networking ministry hub. A ministry staff in Chino, California and Tijuana, Mexico has come together and bonded to effectively serve as a team.

A history of working partnerships with many U.S. churches and individuals performing construction projects, food/clothing distributions, and evangelism outreaches has been established. New church congregations have been planted and are flourishing in Mexico to receive and disciple new believers which have been primarily drawn from BCM/U.S. church outreaches. These groups become the vanguard that cuts and establishes the way for new church plants.
