In Matthew 18:5, Jesus said, “And whoever welcomes one such little child in my name welcomes me.” Caring for the “least of these” (Matt. 25:40), including children, widows and orphans, the poor, is very important to God, and in James 1:27 it is even called “true religion”.

Project Little Child is a ministry of Baja Christian Ministries and its goal is to provide safe, welcome, and loving daycares and educational kids’ clubs starting in our pilot location in Antorcha, Tijuana. Launched in January of 2019, originally this was a project aimed to serve preschool-age children and their single moms lacking support. Since the pandemic began, we have expanded our vision to include older elementary-age kids as well. With schools in Mexico closed for over a year now, many children in the impoverished areas where we serve are without educational support and resources of any kind. Currently, this project supports five full-time teachers and staff and provides two nutritious meals a day and school supplies for the children.

Project Little Child’s mission is to invest in the lives of precious children to instill Gospel-centered truth and identity in their hearts and help provide the tools that will empower them to break free from oppressive cycles and walk as beloved children of God.

Will you consider coming alongside us in this project of love? It roughly costs around $50 a month to support one child in this program, which currently serves 60-70 children in a full-time school setting. We are believing God will abundantly provide all our needs by moving in the hearts of people like you.
