Since October 1991, Baja Christian Ministries (BCM) has been serving the spiritual and physical needs of the poor through engaging short-term mission teams in Baja California, Mexico. For Churches and organizations throughout the United States, Mexico and worldwide, this Ministry provides opportunity for active, first-hand service in this third world environment. In just one weekend you and your team can experience an opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and build solid weather proof homes for needy families in these poor communities. See the BCM Discipleship Plan Video Make a donation to the BCM Discipleship Program BCM IS ALSO PARTNERING WITH WORLD IMPACT TO BRING TUMI BIBLE SCHOOL & CAPSTONE CURRICULUM TO BAJA PASTORS Often Bible School and Seminaries have catered to those that have financial means, leaving the poor without that opportunity. World Impact has targeted that need and created a bridge for the economically disadvantaged pastor who longs for Bible training through their TUMI Bible School and Curriculum. It's working effectively amongst the urban poor in the United States. We are starting a BCM satellite chapter school of this TUMI program this fall. We are seeking scholarships for the TUMI Baja Bible School for economically disadvantaged pastors and leaders who have no formal training. Each Scholarship is $1,000 for 4 years of training. We plan to evangelize and disciple one million souls in the Baja peninsula and build 10,000 homes, Church buildings and other projects that serve God’s people and the poor. We are also seeking to raise up an army of 10,000 prayer warriors in the US, Mexico and worldwide to cover this ongoing pursuit. Will you join us in this battle for souls? Through God's goodness and grace, Baja Christian Ministries experienced it’s most fruitful year to date in 2007. Together in partnership with many Churches and organizations, over 200 homes,2 Churchs and numerous projects and latrines were built. We have an amazing start into 2008. Our hope is to build 250 plus homes and 5-10 church buildings this year.
Along with building houses we build lives in Jesus Christ. Evangelism, discipleship and church planting are very important to this Ministry. Even this last year, thousands have been led into relationship with Jesus Christ through individual and group evangelism efforts both publicly and house to house (Acts 20:20). We are using the "Purple Book", Fundamentos Biblicos in Spanish, “Biblical Foundations” in English along with Spanish Bibles in our evangelism, discipleship and church planting efforts. We have a number of Mexican Bi-lingual Pastors on our team that love this valuable discipleship tool and are using it effectively. The house-building experience is a life-changing event for those participating on both sides of the border. It is such a tremendous blessing to be able to bring hope to families who have none, such a privilege to serve God in this way that brings honor and encouragement to so many who are loved by God and created in His image. We praise God and give great thanks to all our groups who have participated in these Isaiah 58 house building adventures. No doubt God has a beautiful smile every time He thinks about those in need who have been helped and those who have taken time and resources out of their lives to make a difference in these lives of so many needy families. We have seen more than ever, the effect of these blessings on the lives of the people being served as well as those who are serving. "Baja is truly ripe for Harvest". So many families are coming to know Jesus, Churches are growing, lives are edified and encouraged, hope is being restored. Come join us! Be a part of this Baja Harvest. Since BCM is coordinating house construction with outreach evangelism and the network of local pastors for on-going spiritual follow-up, the impact of project groups is being multiplied. If your group is a first-timer, see how Christ can use you to minister to the poor in Baja. If you have built with BCM before, consider being a mentor group to expand your impact on both sides of the border.
Depending on each group, these house builds and house-to-house visits serve as a beacon light that shines His love. They can become a time of sharing, praying, singing, rejoicing and building up.
