2022 is progressing rapidly so far, and though there have been challenges and areas to learn, grow and adjust to in this new season, we continue to trust in God’s faithfulness to lead us every step of the way.
We have been excited to welcome back mission teams to build homes that haven’t come since 2019 and welcome some new groups coming down for the first time! Since our last update in December, we have partnered with the following teams in building homes for needy families and doing community outreaches:
John Houston and Community Covenant Church from San Diego, Jerry Prager and team CODI from Wisconsin, Calvary Church of Los Gatos, Friends Church of Brea, Baja is Alive, Influence Church of Anaheim, and Kevin Kurkowski and Grand Homes of Texas, and this week we are welcoming back Friends Christian School for Spring Break! We are so grateful for every team that has brought great love, generosity, and encouragement!
Project Open Storehouse continues to be utilized in providing food packs in the communities in which we serve and has been an effective tool in our evangelistic outreaches.
Project Little Child’s free education center, Refugio de Amor, continues to grow and impact children and families. This Spring, we have served around 70 children from Lomas del Valle and the surrounding colonias and currently have seven women on staff, including four teachers, a cook, and a supporting team. Pray for continued provision in this program as we aim to alleviate the educational crisis as children are just returning to school after two years of closures.
The Bible & Purple Book Discipleship Program continues to bring discipleship materials and follow-up to groups throughout Mexico and beyond. Since our last update, we have had the unique opportunity to minister and bring discipleship materials for the first time into a maximum-security prison in El Salvador! Please pray for continued open doors to help get the Word of God into people’s hands that leads to the transformation of lives and hearts. Please keep all the staff and volunteers in your prayers as they continue to share the word of God throughout Mexico and beyond!
